A recent Federal Court decision confirms that dismissal for fighting at work is generally considered reasonable, and therefore sacked workers in these circumstances are not likely to be successful in bids for reinstatement.

A clear policy should be promulgated throughout the organisation, so everyone understands the severe consequences if found fighting or provoking violent incidents at work.
