Chemicals added to hazardous substance system

Safe Work Australia (SWA) has added ten (10) new chemicals to its Hazardous Substances Information System (HSIS). This change is in accordance with recent changes to the European Commission's Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CPL) Regulation.

These chemicals include:

  • Tris[2-chloro-1-(chloromethyl)ethyl]phosphate
  • Trixylyl phosphate - a clear liquid used in commercial products, such as flame retardants and plasticisers
  • Indium phosphide
  • Tris(nonylphenyl) phosphite
  • Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide
  • Avermectin B1a
  • Acequinocyl (ISO)
  • Butylbenzoic acid
  • Leucomalachite green
  • Metazachlor (ISO)
