Zero Access Workshops
Zero Access Workshop by Andrea and Stephen at our good friends at JBS
Andrea and Stephen facilitated a 2-day Zero Access Workshop for our friends at JBS Meats in July. Participants included Engineering and maintenance, members from the safety team and health and safety representatives.
Andrea explains that this is our favourite training program because during the workshop participants of all skill levels quickly learn simple ways to find and assess machinery for hazards. The purpose of the program is to find hazards and machinery risks. Most issues found can be easily fixed, many with little or no cost to the business.
AS/NZS 4024 Safety of Machinery Series is a large document, with too much information for most people to use. We demonstrate using simple tools (including a “monkey finger” and pocket card) to apply AS/NZS 4024 in a fun and practical way.
Our clients have told us that they have used other consultants (who provide excellent and comprehensive risk assessments) but their reports just sat on the shelf. Safety Action presented an exciting and engaging workshop and the team is engaged and motivated to implement the findings.
